Paulo Coehlo’s Zahir as a story is nothing great. Though, the concept is thought provoking. It is about how the character (the author portrays himself) is obsessed to know why his wife left home without even telling him. This character goes in search of his wife and in the process comes across several situations those cause an impact on his life and his thoughts.
We all have our Zahir. We are all obsessed with something. But the point is to use your Zahir to lead your life and not bring it to stagnate it. Anything could be your zahir. You studies, you your self, your beloved one, your parents..anyone or anything.
